"We just needed a one night stay in a motel & we have stayed at Braemar Motor Inn a few years ago and were happy with it so booked in for the one night. The owner was very friendly. Our room was very clean and tidy, a comfy bed with clean sheets. No noise to keep us awake. We were very happy with our stay there and would recommend it. The building is old but everything works fine. "

"This is a gorgeous boutique hotel with lovely decorated spacious rooms with kitchenettes. There are great cafes and bars right next door and across the street. It’s become my go to hotel in New Plymouth. "

"Older property with a few squeaky floorboards but was quiet overall. Big kitchen to use, was kept clean by users. Bathroom ok, brown toilet bowl was a concern. Good bed and clean bedroom. Well situated in town."

"Proprty was central to town which was handy for bars, restaurants and shopping. Room was ok but a bit tired. Soap dispenser bracket on wall was loose so had to remove. Toilet has water streaks, chairs were torn and needed a proper clean. One thing that puzzled us was that the bar / restuarant closed from 2pm to 4pm. Why? Especially when people like us are looking for a refreshment in the hotel. Perhaps short staffed maybe."
